The Alternative Education National Body (AENB) is the collective voice for AE providers from across New Zealand - Aotearoa. Established in 2003, the AENB seeks to:
- Promote good practice for AE provision
- Facilitate relational networks and communication for providers
- Advocate on important issues on behalf of AE providers
The AENB welcomes the budget decision regarding AE:
A general increase of 2.92 per cent to AE funding from July 2011 in line with the increase to the operations grant for schools
An increase of 68 places to meet changes in demographics
A specialist professional development programme for alternative education tutors
Brighter future for Alternative Education students
Youth' 09: The Health and Wellbeing of Young People in Alternative Education.
A report on the needs of Alternative Education students in Auckland and Northland.
